SITRA orders Belgium’s first Tesla Semi

SITRA is the first Belgian haulier to invest in Tesla’s new electric truck, the Tesla Semi. “The management of SITRA Group is committed to reducing its CO2 emissions and its ecological footprint, improving the company’s road safety record and raising the standards of professionalism in our industry.

With this in mind, the decision to opt for electric trucks in the long term was an easy one and it gives SITRA Group great pleasure to secure the first Belgian order”, says CEO David Saelens. “We have every confidence that Tesla will deliver on the promises made at the launch of the Semi: a range of 804 km with a full battery and just 30 minutes to recharge up to 80% in the Megacharger network.”

According to Tesla the Semi will go into production in 2019 but the electric truck has not yet been approved in Europe.
