SITRA Group has obtained the AEO certificate to meet Brexit requirements and to enable us to safeguard our processes as much as possible.
AEO stands for ‘Authorised Economic Operator’ and is a certificate issued by customs to companies that are active on an international level. Businesses with an AEO certificate benefit from certain advantages in international trade. Among others, border checks with cross-border movements are not as strict, resulting in shorter waiting times.
Companies aspiring to AEO status must meet a number of safety criteria. These criteria are based on the community customs code and the accompanying implementing regulations.
